2023 Maserati Levante Modena

The Levante is Maserati's mid-size luxury SUV, the one that brought the trident badge into the family-hauler segment. If you're cross-shopping a Porsche Cayenne or a BMW X5, the Levante stands apart with its Italian character and exhaust note. The Levante feels more like a grand tourer than a typical SUV, with sharp steering and a chassis that hides its size. Inside, the cabin is trimmed with rich materials and a classic analog clock, though rear legroom is merely average for the class. Stepping up from the GT gets you the 3.0L V6 with 424 horsepower, plus adaptive air suspension and a sport-tuned exhaust as standard. The 3.0L V6 sends 424 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque through eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, good for a 5.1-second 0-60 mph sprint. The Modena's standard adaptive air suspension lets you soften the ride for highway cruising or stiffen it for back-road carving.
