Miles Overview
The California is Ferrari's grand-touring convertible, the one you'd actually drive across a continent. It's the most approachable Ferrari of its era, with a forgiving chassis that makes you feel like a hero without demanding heroics. The ride is surprisingly supple for a Ferrari, soaking up rough pavement while staying composed at speed. Inside, you get a genuinely usable cabin with a decent trunk and a power-folding hardtop that transforms the car in seconds. The California is the only trim in Ferrari’s 2017 lineup that offers a retractable hardtop, blending open-air freedom with coupe-like security. Its 3.9L V8 makes 553 horsepower and drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, giving effortless thrust at any speed. Handling package or not, the steering feels quick and alive; you'll notice the rear axle is more playful than a 488's.
