The 500X is Fiat's small crossover, a roomier, more practical take on the 500 that still carries that same playful Italian style. On the road it feels light and eager, with a ride that's a bit firm but keeps body roll in check on twisty roads. Inside, the cabin is a cheerful mix of color and texture, with a tall seating position and decent space for four adults. The available Uconnect infotainment is easy to use, and most trims come with a rearview camera and Bluetooth. The Easy gives you keyless entry and remote start, upgrades you'd pay extra for on the Pop, while skipping the Trekking's rugged styling and the Lounge's leather seats. Its 2.4L I4 makes 180 horsepower and works with a nine-speed automatic that keeps the front-wheel drive feeling eager around town, returning 25 mpg combined. The Dynamic Selector lets you choose Sport mode for sharper throttle response, a nice perk that's standard here but not on the base Pop.
