Miles Overview
The Stelvio is Alfa Romeo's compact luxury SUV, the one that goes up against the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Its steering is quick and talkative, and the chassis feels eager through corners, so it drives more like a sports sedan than a tall SUV. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for that sharp handling, but it settles down nicely on the highway. Inside, the cabin uses quality materials and features a clean, driver-focused layout, though rear legroom is a bit tight for the class. Its 2.0L I4 makes 280 horsepower and pairs with a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives it a responsive, planted feel that makes the most of the Stelvio's eager chassis. The standard 18-inch wheels and all-season tires keep the ride a bit more forgiving than the Veloce's larger setup, which is a nice trade if you're daily-driving on rough pavement.
