Miles Overview
The Tonale is Alfa Romeo's compact SUV, the one that brings the brand's character to the family-friendly end of the market. It steers with the same eagerness as the Giulia, and the chassis stays composed when you push it through a corner. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade-off for that sharp handling, but it settles down on the highway. Inside, the cabin feels more special than the class norm, with nice materials and a clean, driver-focused layout. The Veloce adds a sport suspension, aluminum pedals, and a leather sport steering wheel over the Sprint, while skipping some of the Sport Speciale's more aggressive styling touches. Its 2.0L I4 makes 268 horsepower and pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving it the eager throttle response you expect from an Alfa. The available Dual Mode Active Suspension lets you firm up the dampers for cornering or soften them for daily driving, a rare feature at this price point.
