Miles Overview
The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive two-seat convertible built around a carbon-fiber monocoque. The ride is firm and the cabin is tight, but that's the trade for a car this focused and light. There's no power steering, so you get direct, unfiltered feedback through the wheel, and the grip is tenacious. The 4C Spider is the open-top version of the coupe, dropping the roof for wind-in-your-hair thrills without adding much weight. Its 1.8L I4 makes 214 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it hits 60 mph in about 4.2 seconds. The Spider's removable roof panel stores in the front trunk, leaving the carbon-fiber tub exposed and the driving experience raw.
