Miles Overview
The 2023 Ghibli is Maserati's mid-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 when you want something with more Italian character. It drives with a sporty feel that's rare in this class, with sharp steering and a chassis that's eager to be pushed. The cabin is a mix of rich materials and some dated switchgear, but the front seats are comfortable and the rear seats fit two adults well. Reliability has improved in recent years, though you should still expect the occasional electronic glitch that's part of owning an Italian car. Stepping up to the Modena Q4 from the rear-drive Modena adds all-wheel drive and a bump in power, making it the more capable choice in slippery weather. The Q4's all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased, so it still feels playful on a twisty road even as it claws for grip in the wet.
