Miles Overview
The 2023 Ghibli is Maserati's mid-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 when you want something with more Italian character. It drives with a sporty feel that's rare in this class, with sharp steering and a chassis that's eager to be pushed. The cabin is a mix of rich materials and some dated switchgear, but the front seats are comfortable and the rear seats fit two adults well. Reliability has improved in recent years, though you should still expect the occasional electronic glitch that's part of owning an Italian car. The GT is the entry point to the Ghibli range, giving up the Modena's extra power and standard all-wheel drive for a lower price and rear-wheel drive. Its 3.0L I6 pairs with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, delivering smooth power that makes the GT feel lighter on its feet than the AWD versions. Fuel economy checks in at 20 mpg combined, and the standard adaptive suspension keeps the ride comfortable while still letting the chassis shine.
