Miles Overview
The Quattroporte is Maserati's full-size luxury sedan, the one that goes up against the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series with a more theatrical personality. It drives with a sporting edge you don't expect from a big sedan, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels lively on a back road. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for that handling, but it settles down nicely on the highway. Inside, the cabin is roomy and trimmed in rich materials, though the tech feels a generation behind the German rivals. Stepping up to the Modena from the GT adds a more powerful 3.0L V6 with 424 horsepower and a sport exhaust that sounds fantastic. The 3.0L V6 pairs with a eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, giving it a muscular pull that feels quicker than the numbers suggest. The Modena's standard Skyhook adaptive suspension lets you firm up the ride for corners or soften it for highway cruising.
