Miles Overview
The XC90 is Volvo's three-row luxury SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7 if you want a family hauler with a Scandinavian feel. It drives with a calm, composed demeanor that suits its mission, though the steering is light and the handling prioritizes comfort over sportiness. The cabin is a highlight, with a minimalist design, premium materials, and seats that are among the most comfortable in any SUV. The Sensus infotainment system is responsive enough, but the portrait touchscreen can be distracting to use while driving. The T8 Inscription Expression gives up some of the luxury trimmings of the full Inscription, but keeps the plug-in hybrid powertrain and a premium interior. Its 2.0L I4 plug-in hybrid makes 312 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque, sent through eight-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, and it can drive on electric power alone for short trips. The 6-passenger layout replaces the middle bench with captain's chairs, giving second-row passengers more personal space.
