Miles Overview
The C40 is Volvo's compact electric SUV, a sleeker, more style-focused alternative to the boxier XC40 Recharge. It's quick off the line and handles with a sporty edge, yet it still feels calm and composed on the highway. Inside, the cabin is minimalist and airy, with a portrait touchscreen and sustainably sourced materials. The sloping roofline cuts into rear headroom and cargo space, but the hatch still swallows a week's groceries. The Plus Dark skips the Ultimate's premium audio and head-up display, but keeps the punchy dual-motor powertrain and all the style cues that make the C40 stand out. Its all-wheel drive electric motor makes 402 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque, so it launches hard from a stop and feels genuinely quick merging onto the freeway. The Dark trim adds gloss-black exterior accents and a unique wheel design, giving the C40 a more aggressive look without any performance penalty.
