Miles Overview
The XC90 is Volvo's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X5 and Mercedes ML if you want something safer-feeling. It rides smoothly and holds its composure on all kinds of roads, and the all-wheel-drive version gives you real confidence in snow and rain. The cabin feels upscale with quality leather, and the third row is handy for occasional kids but tight for adults. Some owners mention squeaky brakes and a few electrical gremlins, but overall the XC90 holds up well with routine maintenance. The base XC90 skips the V8 and all-wheel drive of the higher trims, saving you money while keeping the same comfortable cabin. Its 3.2L I6 makes 235 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which feels smooth around town but gets 16 mpg combined.
