Miles Overview
The XC40 is Volvo's smallest SUV, a compact five-door that's easy to park in the city but still feels substantial on the highway. It handles nimbly for an SUV, with quick steering and a tight turning circle that make it feel at home in tight spots. Inside, the cabin is a bright, airy space with comfortable seats and clever storage, including a small bin under the driver's seat. The standard infotainment runs on a tablet-style touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the available 360-degree camera makes parking easy. The T4 Inscription is the front-wheel-drive luxury pick, swapping the T5's all-wheel drive for leather upholstery and a more upscale cabin feel. Its 2.0L I4 makes 187 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to the front wheels, which keeps weight down and returns 26 mpg combined. The Inscription trim adds driftwood interior inlays and a leather dashboard, details you won't find on the Momentum or R-Design.
