Miles Overview
The XC60 is Volvo's compact luxury SUV, a five-seater that competes with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. It handles well for a crossover, with a smooth ride and confident all-weather grip if you go with the AWD version. The cabin is comfortable and roomy, with excellent seats and a panoramic sunroof on many trims, though cargo space is on the small side. Owners like the long oil-change intervals, but parts and service can be pricey, and some have needed battery replacements. Sporty styling touches like unique wheels and a body kit set the R Design apart from the standard XC60. Its 3.2L I6 makes 240 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, returning 21 mpg combined. The R Design's stiffer suspension gives sharper handling at the cost of a firmer ride on rough pavement.
