Miles Overview
The XC40 is Volvo's entry-level SUV, a compact crossover that's a bit more stylish than the typical small utility. It's a genuinely fun little SUV to drive, with quick steering and a chassis that feels eager in corners. Inside, the cabin is a highlight, with a clean, modern design and clever storage touches like the under-seat tray. Cargo space is decent for the class, and the boxy shape makes it easy to load bulky items. The T5 Inscription gives you the top engine and all-wheel drive with the plusher leather-trimmed cabin, skipping the R-Design's sportier look to save a bit. Its 2.0L I4 makes 248 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic, giving the XC40 a lively, responsive feel around town and on the highway. The Inscription trim adds a leather dashboard and driftwood inlays, giving the cabin a warmer, more upscale feel than the Momentum.
