Miles Overview
The S80 is Volvo's full-size sedan, built for buyers who prioritize comfort and safety over sporty pretensions. It rides smoothly and feels planted on the highway, with enough power to merge confidently when you need it. The cabin is quiet and spacious, with supportive seats that make long trips genuinely relaxing. Parts and repairs cost more than average, and some components like the alarm battery can be tricky to service. Leather upholstery, a premium sound system, and the larger infotainment screen mark the Platinum as the top S80 trim, above the base T5 Drive-E. The 2.0L I4 sends 240 horsepower through an eight-speed automatic to the front wheels, delivering smooth acceleration and 29 mpg combined on regular fuel.
