Miles Overview
The GTI is Volkswagen's hot hatch, the one that made the class famous and still sets the benchmark for it. It's the car you buy when you want a daily driver that genuinely entertains on a back road. The steering is quick and the chassis stays flat through corners, so it feels eager every time you turn in. The cabin is a nice place to sit, with supportive seats and a clean, driver-focused layout. The Wolfsburg Edition skips the base GTI's cloth seats for plaid fabric and adds push-button start, but you lose the performance pack's limited-slip differential and bigger brakes. Its 2.0L I4 makes 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, and returns 27 mpg combined. This trim comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and a touchscreen infotainment system, so it feels a step up from the base car without the Autobahn's leather and sunroof.
