Miles Overview
The 2013 Golf is Volkswagen's compact hatchback, the one that gives you European character without the premium badge. It's a genuinely fun car to drive, with sharp steering and a chassis that makes you want to take the long way home. Inside, the cabin is simple but well-built, and the hatchback body makes it surprisingly practical for hauling gear. Owners report solid reliability overall, though a few mention minor electrical issues and the cost of German parts. Stepping up to the TDI means swapping the gas engine for a diesel that's all about low-end torque and fuel-sipping range.
