Miles Overview
The Phaeton is Volkswagen's full-size luxury sedan, built to take on the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. It's a big car that shrinks around you on the road, with a calm, steady gait that flatters long trips. The ride is exceptionally smooth, and the cabin stays hushed at highway speeds. Inside, you get a beautifully finished cabin with plenty of room for four adults and a generous trunk. The V8 gives you the same all-wheel-drive chassis and lavish cabin as the W12, but with a more conventional engine and a lower starting price. Its 4.2L I8 makes 335 horsepower and routes power through a six-speed automatic to all four wheels, which means confident traction in any weather.
