Miles Overview
The Tiguan is Volkswagen's compact SUV, a smaller alternative to the Touareg that's easy to park and maneuver in the city. It feels zippy around town, with quick acceleration that makes merging onto highways a breeze. The ride is smooth and composed, though you'll notice a bit of firmness over sharper bumps. Inside, the cabin is roomy for a small SUV, with a high seating position that gives you a clear view of the road. The SEL is the top trim in the Tiguan lineup, adding leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof over the SE and S trims. Its 2.0L I4 makes 200 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in rain or light snow. Only the SEL offers the optional navigation system and a Fender premium audio setup, making it the one to pick if you want the best sound.
