Miles Overview
The 718 Boxster is Porsche's entry-level roadster, a two-seat convertible that shares its mid-engine bones with the Cayman coupe. With the engine sitting behind you, the Boxster feels wonderfully balanced, and the steering is quick and precise. The ride is firm but controlled, so you feel the road without being beaten up on a long drive. Its 2.5L I4 makes 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual, and the engine note grows suitably urgent near redline. The S also unlocks Porsche's Sport Chrono package, which sharpens throttle response and adds launch control to the manual gearbox.
