Miles Overview
The Boxster is Porsche's entry-level roadster, a mid-engine two-seat convertible that shares its DNA with the 911 but costs less to own. With the engine behind you, the Boxster feels balanced and eager; it's the kind of car that makes every on-ramp a little more fun. The cabin is snug but well laid out, and the soft top folds neatly for open-air driving whenever the mood strikes. Owners mention leaking valve cover gaskets and some tricky maintenance spots, but the driving reward makes the effort worthwhile. The S trim is for drivers who want the extra punch over the base Boxster without stepping up to a 911. Its 3.2L I6 makes 250 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to rear-wheel drive, and it'll return 18 mpg combined. The S also gets larger brakes and a stiffer suspension, so the ride is firmer but the cornering grip is noticeably better.
