Miles Overview
The 2006 Cayman is Porsche's mid-engine coupe, the hardtop sibling to the Boxster and a more focused driver's car than the 911. It's a dream on curvy roads, with sharp steering and a balanced chassis that makes every corner feel effortless. The cabin is snug but well-built, with supportive seats and a clean, driver-focused layout that still looks modern. Owners have reported occasional software glitches that can cause stalling, and the coolant reservoir is known to crack and leak. Its 3.4L I6 makes 258 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic that shifts smoothly, though the manual is more engaging. The optional Sport Chrono Package adds a stopwatch and a sportier throttle response, sharpening the car's reflexes further.
