Miles Overview
This is the 911, Porsche's rear-engine sports car that defined the breed for decades, and in 1991 it was offered as a coupe, convertible, and Targa. The 911 rewards a skilled driver with sharp steering and tenacious grip, though the manual gearbox and heavy clutch make stop-and-go traffic a chore. Inside, you get a driver-focused cockpit with quality leather and that unmistakable Porsche feel, but the air conditioning is weak and cup holders are absent. Owners note that the convertible top is fragile and can leak, and age brings typical issues like clutch wear and AC repairs. All-wheel drive sets the Carrera 4 apart from the rear-drive Carrera, giving you extra traction in rain or on loose pavement. Its 3.6L I6 makes 247 horsepower and pairs with a manual transmission and all-wheel drive, returning 16 mpg combined on the road. The Carrera 4's all-wheel-drive system adds grip at the cost of a slightly heavier feel through the steering wheel.
