Miles Overview
This is the 911, Porsche's rear-engine sports car that's been the benchmark for decades. The flat-six sits behind you, and it's the sound and balance that make every drive feel special. The cabin is snug but well laid out, with a driver-focused feel that hasn't aged badly. Expect to budget for tires and cooling system upkeep, but the mechanicals are simpler than you'd think. The Carrera S is the sweet spot for purists who want the sharper suspension and bigger brakes but don't need all-wheel drive like the Carrera 4S. Its 3.6L I6 makes 282 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, sending power to the rear wheels for that classic 911 tail-out feel. The S trim adds a stiffer suspension and larger brakes, so you'll feel more connected on a back road but the ride is firmer around town.
