Miles Overview
The 968 is Porsche's front-engine, water-cooled coupe and convertible, a refined evolution of the 944 and 924 lineage. The steering is quick and precise, and the chassis feels balanced and planted through corners. The cabin is driver-focused and snug, with supportive seats and a clean, simple dashboard layout. Parts are expensive and not always easy to find, so expect higher-than-average upkeep costs. The 968 Base is the entry trim, sharing its front-engine layout and balanced chassis with the rest of the range. Its 3.0L I4 makes strong mid-range torque, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly for relaxed cruising; expect 18 mpg combined in mixed driving.
