Miles Overview
The Hardtop 2 Door is MINI's classic hatchback, the one that started the modern retro craze and still feels like a go-kart for the road. It's genuinely fun to drive, with quick, direct steering and a stiff, playful chassis that makes every corner an event. The ride is firm, especially on the sportier trims, which is the trade-off for that sharp handling. It's a small two-door, so rear seat space is tight, but the hatchback opens to a surprisingly usable cargo area for the footprint. Its 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque make it eager around town rather than fast, and the seven-speed automatic shifts smoothly while returning 31 mpg combined. You can option the Dynamic Damper Control system on this trim, which firms up the suspension for even sharper cornering without ruining the daily ride.
