Miles Overview
The Hardtop is MINI's smallest hatchback, the one that started the modern revival and still feels most true to the original's spirit. It's the most fun small car you can buy, with sharp steering and a playful chassis that makes every errand feel like a back-road run. The cabin is snug but stylish, with a big central speedometer and toggle switches that give it a retro-modern vibe. Cargo space is tight, so it's best for two people and a weekend bag rather than a family haul. The Cooper S is the one for drivers who want more punch than the base Cooper but aren't chasing the track-ready John Cooper Works. Its 2.0L I4 makes 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, enough to squirt through traffic or onto a highway on-ramp without working hard, and the six-speed automatic is crisp and well-matched.
