2020 MINI Clubman

The Clubman is MINI's slightly larger hatchback, the one with the split rear doors and a bit more room than the standard Hardtop. It keeps that go-kart feel but with a longer wheelbase, so it's more settled on the highway than a smaller MINI. Inside, the retro-styled dash and toggle switches keep the MINI character, and the front seats are firm but supportive. Those rear barn doors open wide, and the cargo area is genuinely useful for a car this size. This Clubman is the John Cooper Works model, the performance flagship that sits above the Cooper S with a more powerful engine, sport-tuned suspension, and standard all-wheel drive. Its 2.0L I4 makes 301 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to all four wheels, and it'll hit 60 mph in the low four-second range. The JCW gets its own exhaust system with a more aggressive note, and the suspension is stiffer than the Cooper S's, so the ride is firm but the cornering grip is tenacious.
