Miles Overview
The AMG GT is Mercedes-Benz's dedicated sports car, a front-engine two-seater that competes with the Porsche 911 and Aston Martin Vantage. It's a driver's car in the truest sense, with a long hood, a low seating position, and a chassis that rewards smooth inputs on a back road. The cabin wraps around you with high-quality materials and a cockpit-like layout, though the low roofline and small trunk mean you'll pack light. Expect running costs to run high, with premium fuel, frequent tire changes, and pricey scheduled maintenance all part of the ownership experience. The GT R is the track-focused hero of the lineup, sitting above the base GT and the GT S with more power, a wider track, and a fixed rear wing. Its 4.0L V8 makes 577 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, sent through a seven-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it hits 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.
