Miles Overview
The 2016 S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship luxury sedan and coupe, the one that sets the standard for the rest of the lineup. Even in base form, the S-Class feels effortlessly quick, and the range-topping AMG models are genuinely rapid for their size. The ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet, soaking up bumps that would upset lesser cars, and the seats are outstanding. The cabin is lavish and packed with tech, though the infotainment has a learning curve and the coupe's trunk is small. The S 65 AMG swaps the S 63's V8 for a V12, and it comes only as a coupe with four seats. Its 6.0L V12 makes 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic.
