Miles Overview
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the compact luxury entry in the lineup, offered as a sedan, coupe, or convertible with AMG performance variants at the top. Its main rivals include the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Lexus IS, but the C-Class leans more toward luxury than sport. The C-Class feels composed and eager on twisty roads, with sharp steering and strong brakes, though the ride can be firm with larger wheels. Inside, the cabin is a highlight with rich materials, aluminum or wood trim, and supportive seats, but rear legroom is tight in the coupe and convertible. Standard tech includes a 7-inch display, Bluetooth, and a rearview camera, with available features like navigation, a Burmester audio system, and driver-assistance aids. Choosing the C 63 over the C 43 gets you the hand-built 4.0L V8 and a more aggressive AMG-tuned chassis. The 4.0L V8 makes 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, routed through a seven-speed automatic to rear-wheel drive, and it's a thrill to push hard. Expect a firm ride and a loud exhaust, but the convertible's top-down experience is worth it.
