Miles Overview
The S-Class is Mercedes' flagship luxury sedan, with coupe and convertible versions for those who want the same opulence in two doors. It wafts along in near silence, yet the AMG versions transform it into a serious performance machine when you want to hustle. Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in luxury, with massaging seats, ambient lighting, and rear seats that rival first-class airline pods. Expect premium fuel and maintenance costs that match its six-figure price tag, but the experience is hard to match elsewhere. Its 4.0L V8 pairs with the nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive to launch you to 60 mph in about 3.4 seconds, yet it returns 20 mpg combined. The AMG Performance exhaust lets you uncork a deep, crackling V8 bark that contrasts with the otherwise hushed cabin.
