Miles Overview
The S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship luxury sedan, also offered as a coupe and convertible, and it competes with the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8. The S-Class glides over pavement with a serene, controlled ride, and the powerful engines make it feel effortlessly quick when you need to pass. Inside, you get a lavish cabin with plush seats and high-quality materials, though the coupe and cabriolet have smaller trunks than the sedan. Expect premium fuel and pricey maintenance, but owners say the S-Class is worth the cost for the comfort and performance it delivers. The S 63 AMG is for buyers who want the S-Class's luxury with serious muscle; it's the hot-rod flagship compared to the S 560. Its handcrafted 4.0L V8 makes 603 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, and the nine-speed automatic with all-wheel drive launches it like a sports car. The AMG Performance exhaust lets you adjust the sound from quiet cruising to a loud, crackling roar at the press of a button.
