Miles Overview
The 2016 S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship luxury sedan and coupe, the one that sets the standard for the rest of the lineup. Even in base form, the S-Class feels effortlessly quick, and the range-topping AMG models are genuinely rapid for their size. The ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet, soaking up bumps that would upset lesser cars, and the seats are outstanding. The cabin is lavish and packed with tech, though the infotainment has a learning curve and the coupe's trunk is small. It's powered by a biturbo 4.7L V8 making 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, which launches this large sedan with effortless authority, and with all-wheel drive you get all-weather confidence. Standard AIRMATIC air suspension makes the ride pillow-soft, and the Burmester surround system is one of the best audio setups you'll find in any car.
