Miles Overview
The 2016 CLA-Class is Mercedes-Benz's entry-level sedan, a compact four-door that brings the brand's styling and badge to a smaller, more affordable package. It's a sharp little handler, with quick steering and a firm, controlled ride that feels sportier than the typical compact luxury sedan. Inside, you get a stylish, modern cabin with supportive seats and a straightforward layout, though rear legroom is tight for adults. Some owners have noted fragile alloy wheels that can crack on rough roads, and a few have dealt with computer glitches that caused power loss. The CLA 45 AMG sits above the CLA 250 and packs a much hotter engine, all-wheel drive, and a more aggressive look for a big jump in price. Its 2.0L I4 makes 375 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, routed through a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, making it a genuinely quick little sedan that pulls hard off corners. The AMG-specific suspension is firm and keeps body roll in check, but you'll feel every bump on rough pavement, which is the trade for that composure.
