Miles Overview
The SLK-Class is Mercedes' compact two-seat roadster, the one you cross-shop with the BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxster. It's a sports car that's genuinely fun to hustle down a back road, yet it settles into a relaxed cruise when you're just commuting. The cabin is snug but nicely finished, and the folding hardtop means you get coupe-like quiet with the roof up. Owners mention the trunk is small and rear legroom is essentially nonexistent, so plan around limited cargo space. The SLK 250 sits as the entry roadster, trading the V6 of the SLK 350 for more fuel-conscious motoring. Its 1.8L I4 makes 201 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, earning an EPA rating of 26 mpg combined. Expect a relaxed driving character that puts comfort ahead of outright speed, ideal for top-down cruising.
