Miles Overview
The SLK is Mercedes' compact two-seat roadster, the one with the folding hardtop that turns from coupe to convertible in seconds. It's a genuinely fun car to drive, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels eager through the corners. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how well it handles, but it stays comfortable on longer trips. Cabin space is snug and the trunk is small, so it's best as a weekend toy rather than a daily hauler. Its 2.0L I4 makes 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic that shifts smoothly and helps it earn 28 mpg combined. The standard power retractable hardtop folds in about 20 seconds, so you can drop the top without worrying about parking security.
