Miles Overview
The 2011 S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship sedan, the big luxury cruiser that sets the standard for the segment. Despite its size, it accelerates with authority, and the steering feels quick and responsive for such a large car. The ride is exceptionally smooth, and the seats are plush and easy to adjust, making long trips effortless. It's a big car, so it can stick out of tight parking spaces, and the trunk is a bit small for the size, but the cabin is spacious and the rear seats are roomy. Its 6.2L V8 makes 536 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque routed through a seven-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, good for 17 mpg combined. The AMG-tuned suspension is firmer than the standard S-Class, trading some ride plushness for flatter cornering.
