Miles Overview
The 2016 SL-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship two-seat roadster, blending grand-touring comfort with serious performance. It's genuinely quick and fun to drive, with a powerful engine that makes every on-ramp a treat. The ride is firm over rough pavement, but the trade-off is sharp, confident handling on smooth roads. The cabin is elegant with wood accents and leather seats, though the folding hardtop eats into trunk space. The 4.7L V8 and seven-speed automatic pair for smooth thrust, though the 20 mpg combined is the trade-off for that effortless power. Only the SL 550 offers the semi-active Adaptive Damping System with Comfort and Sport modes, letting you tune the ride without leaving the driver's seat.
