Miles Overview
The SL is Mercedes' two-seat luxury roadster, the one that's been turning heads since the 1950s. It's a grand tourer first, so it glides down the highway with effortless composure, yet it still feels eager when you push it. The cabin is snug but beautifully finished, and the power hardtop folds away in seconds for open-air driving. Some owners mention the window seals can let wind noise creep in at highway speeds, so check those before you buy. The 4.7L V8 pairs with a nine-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, and it's smooth and quiet at a cruise but snarls when you lean into it; expect 20 mpg combined.
