Miles Overview
The AMG GT is Mercedes' dedicated sports car, a front-engine grand tourer that goes up against the Porsche 911 and Aston Martin Vantage. It's a car that rewards smooth inputs, with a long hood and a rear-biased feel that makes every corner an event. The ride is firm but compliant on the highway, and the cabin stays quiet enough for long-distance cruising. There's a usable trunk and a surprisingly comfortable cabin for two, though rear seats are tight in the coupe. Its handcrafted 3.0L V8 makes 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, routed through a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that claws out of corners with real urgency. Active rear-wheel steering is standard here, making this four-door feel nimbler than its 4,716 pounds suggests in tight turns.
