Miles Overview
The G-Class is Mercedes' boxy, go-anywhere SUV, a true off-roader that's been a staple for decades. It drives with commanding presence, feeling unstoppable on rough terrain while still being surprisingly composed on pavement. Inside, the cabin is roomy and comfortable, with plenty of space for the whole family and a large cargo area. Owners report solid reliability, though some have mentioned squeaky brakes and the expected thirst for fuel. A seven-speed automatic and four-wheel drive with three lockable differentials make this G 550 unstoppable off-road, while the engine delivers strong on-road acceleration. The G 550 comes standard with heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats and a harman/kardon sound system, but you can skip the optional 20-inch wheels for a smoother ride.
