Miles Overview
This is Mercedes' mid-size coupe and convertible, a more personal take on the C-Class that still seats four. It's a relaxed cruiser that feels solid at speed, though the ride is on the firm side on rough roads. The cabin is trimmed in quality leather, and the coupe's trunk is surprisingly roomy for the class. Some owners mention the convertible top can act up, and the navigation system feels dated by today's standards. The CLK 55 AMG is the range-topping performance model, trading the CLK 500's extra cost for AMG-tuned suspension and a more powerful engine. Its 5.5L V8 makes 362 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, giving this convertible effortless thrust on the highway. The AMG-tuned exhaust lets you hear the V8's growl, and the firmer suspension keeps body roll in check during spirited driving.
