2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK 550

The CLK is Mercedes' mid-size coupe and convertible, a two-door grand tourer that blends luxury with a sporty edge. It's a relaxed cruiser on the highway, but the steering is accurate and the chassis feels composed when you push it through corners. The cabin is a comfortable place to spend time, with supportive seats and high-quality materials, though the back seats are tight for adults. Owners mention occasional rattles at speed and finicky electronic gremlins, but most report only routine maintenance over the years. The CLK 550 swaps the base V6 for a 5.5L V8, making it the quickest non-AMG CLK you could buy in 2007. That 5.5L V8 makes 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic that shifts smoothly whether you're cruising or accelerating hard. It's a convertible, so you get open-air driving with the roof down, though the trunk shrinks to 8.6 cubic feet of cargo space when it's stowed.
