Miles Overview
The CLK-Class is Mercedes' mid-size luxury coupe and convertible, the two-door that split the difference between the entry C-Class and the grand SL. It's a relaxed grand tourer that feels planted on the highway, and the 55 AMG turns it into a seriously quick machine. The cabin is properly upscale with quality leather and wood, and the coupe's rear seats actually fit two adults in a pinch. Trunk space is tight in the convertible because the folding roof eats into it, but the coupe is more generous for weekend luggage. The CLK 320 is the entry-level trim, with a smooth 3.2L V6 that's plenty for daily driving, and it leaves the 500 and 55 AMG for those who want more muscle. Its 3.2L V6 makes 215 horsepower through a automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and it returns 20 mpg combined on regular fuel. As a convertible, the soft top stows neatly, but the trunk loses several cubic feet compared to the coupe.
