Miles Overview
The CLK-Class is Mercedes' two-door luxury coupe and convertible, a step above the C-Class and a more personal take on the E-Class. It drives with a smooth, planted feel that suits long highway miles, though the ride is on the firm side and the steering is light. Inside, you get a well-built cabin with supportive leather seats, a roomy trunk for a coupe, and a useful pass-through to the back seat. Owners mention the convertible top mechanism can act up, and some report rattles at speed or finicky electronics as the car ages. The CLK 350 trades the CLK 550's V8 muscle for a lower starting price and the same refined coupe experience. Its 3.5L V6 makes 268 horsepower and pairs with a seven-speed automatic, delivering smooth, willing acceleration that feels quicker than the numbers suggest. The convertible version adds open-air fun, but the coupe's fixed roof means a quieter cabin and no worries about the top mechanism.
