Miles Overview
The 2007 SL-Class is Mercedes' flagship roadster, a two-seat convertible that blends grand-touring comfort with serious performance credentials. The power-folding hardtop is a marvel, and with the wind deflector up, you can carry on a conversation at highway speeds with the top down. Inside, the seats are exceptionally comfortable and adjustable, with heating and cooling functions that owners love, though the cupholders feel flimsy. Expect maintenance to be pricey when something goes wrong, and parts may need to come from Europe, so it's worth budgeting for that. Its 5.5L V8 makes 382 horsepower and pairs with a seven-speed automatic, giving the SL 550 smooth, linear power that feels strong at any speed. Active Body Control is standard here, letting you firm up the suspension or lower the ride height at the push of a button.
