Miles Overview
The S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship luxury sedan, the one that sets the standard for the big German limousines. It wafts down the road with a calm, effortless gait, and the steering is light and precise at any speed. The ride is pillowy soft, soaking up bumps that would jolt lesser cars, and the seats are among the best in the business. Inside, the cabin is a quiet, wood-trimmed sanctuary, with plenty of room for four adults and a generous trunk. Its 6.0L V12 makes 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, sent through a five-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and you'll feel every bit of that power the instant you touch the throttle. The trade-off is fuel economy: you'll see 14 mpg combined, which is the price for that massive V12 and the heavy curb weight of 4,894 pounds.
