Miles Overview
The 2000 S-Class is Mercedes' flagship sedan, the car that defined the luxury segment in its day. It glides over bumps and corners with a calm confidence that makes long drives feel effortless. The cabin is roomy and quiet, with supportive leather seats and a host of convenience features. Owners report that electrical issues and expensive repairs are the main drawbacks as these cars age. A 5.0L V8 and rear-wheel drive set the S 500 apart as the entry point to V8-powered S-Class luxury. Its 5.0L V8 makes 302 horsepower and pairs with a smooth automatic transmission, giving you effortless highway passing and a quiet cruise at any speed.
